Not enough hours in the day?

Did you ever feel that there are not enough hours in the day?, Did you ever ask yourself, when will I get the time to do that?
I think we all have. Us humans are all the same because we are most happy when we feel we are making progress in our lives. The more progress we feel we are making the happier we feel. When we feel as if we are not making progress, that is when frustration sets in.
As those of you that have too much time on your hands and read this blog regularly will know I recently went to a seminar in New York given by one Tony Robbins. One of the key things I took from that seminar was something called creating a 13th month in your year.

So you feel as if you never have enough time in your day? What if you were able to have one more month in your year, yes what if you were able to create 365 more hours that currently do not exist in your life. Would that be useful?
This is how you do it. Take whatever time you currently get up in the morning and make a decision to get up one hour earlier every morning for one year. Do the maths. That is 365 hours more in your year. Or one entire month extra in your year. Now you could possibly be saying some of the following to yourself. “No way, I love my sleep, Oh, I could not do that, Oh, I would be sleep deprived etc etc”.
The truth is you will need to go to bed 15-30 minutes earlier each night and improve your what you eat during the day. You will have to inlcude more fruit, vegetables, salads and increase you intake of water by at least 2.5 liters per day. This is to support your body more as it will take time to adapt to your new routine.

When you make a decision to do this and you wake up the first few mornings, your mind will say the following:
“You will burn out later today, you will be sorry”
“Just 10 minutes more, the bed is so warm and cosy”
“You will make yourself ill getting up this early”
“This is crazy, that guy Griffin is full of shite”
However if you choose to stick with it for one to two weeks, you will find you feel much better all day long, you have more not less energy and you feel you get more done every day and feel more satisfied at the end of the day. And most importantly, you get time for yourself early in the morning when the house is quiet.
Try it for one week. Do you feel you get more done?
Yours in sleep deprivation….

started doing this myself a while ago, it’s tough for a week/10 days but it starts to pay off then.
