Is Tony Robbins full of shit?

This weekend I am in New York. My business partner Tom said to me one day in the office- “You know with all the negativity in the media about the Irish economy and the belief that our economy is dead forever!!!, we aught to give ourselves some inspiration”.
Right said I, what have you in mind?, “Tony Robbins“, he said.
Now I had a picture in my mind of this plastic motivator who was in the business of getting people to walk on hot coals so he could empty their pockets along the way. So, straight away I heard myself say, “No, not my kind of thing, I can motivate myself very well thank you, I do not need Tony Robbins to do so”. But then he added a vital piece of information, “The course is four days long and it is on in New York City and the New York City Marathon is on there this weekend”.

Now for those of you who know me well and have ever asked, New York is my favorite city in the world. It is alive with life and the choices of shows, sports and people watching is unbeatable. Added to this I always wanted to see the New York Knicks play in Madison Square Garden. My response was immediate, “Why didn’t you say that, well look I don’t know about this Robbins guy, but damn I would like to go to New York and see the Knicks play”.

So here I am in New York City and two days in to the course. And wait till I tell you about how we got in to see the Knicks play with no tickets. Stay tuned.

P.S: Is this Tony Robbins full of shit?, my verdict will follow.
